You may remember in my last post I showed you a few snaps of Painted Bonaweb, here's one of those pieces that Maggie has worked on to make a restful seascape...

Maggie
It's great to see how an experimental session can be carried forward to create such a lovely pieces.

Warning...look no further if you're watching your weight.

Each month one of the Maids bakes a cake to share at crib time, which are always delicious. But, I wasn't quick enough to capture this naughty creation before it was cut and shared, thank you Jenni, it was a lovely way to send us off for our summer break...

Just noticed, even the meringue has an 'undulating' surface, what larks.

Although we don't meet in August we are going on a picnic jolly to Lanhydrock. It's a late Victorian country house with beautiful gardens and woods own by the National Trust. Fingers crossed for good weather and hopefully I'll have some snaps to share next time.

Bye for now, enjoy your summer.

'Separation' can lead to beautiful textiles...

Here are a few snaps from our 'Separation' theme, amazing how quickly three months can evaporate. The finished pieces were looking wonderful at our last meeting.

Margaret P - Separating the Sheep from the Goats

Liz

Diana - Here & There

Chris

Maggie - Blossom

Rosemary - Continental Drift

Jenni - Life's A Puzzle

Debbie - Gravitational Waves

Sue - Inspiration from Loe Beach, Feock

As we leave 'Separation' we now move onto 'Undulating', which is our new theme and sits nicely with the past two topics.

A few of the Maids also experimented with Painted Bondaweb...

Don't you just love a bit of Painted Bondaweb.

I'll leave you with a few words from Jenni explaining her piece... Life's A Puzzle

Autism can lead to 'Separation' on several levels, be it the Autists desire to not engage or our own feelings of separation through lack of personal understanding of autism.

Back soon
